Honorable MembersASAK,
Irrespective who promotes hatred, anger and revenge against muslims, we must now seriously start thinking beyond mere arguments of identifying the perpetrators of violence against us. We have tested every political party and except communists, RJD of Lalu Yadav and BSP of Mayawati nobody protected muslims fairly. Every other political party either had complicity or neutrality towards our physical and mental sufferings.
It is known fact that RSS, Bajrang Dal, VHP, Durga Vahini activists are openly giving hateful speeches and distributing swords and trishuls among common Hindus from last 14-15 years and there have been no government legal or punishing action against them so far. It is going on as part of normal life except for the sufferers of communal violence.Parveen Togadia, VHP Chief, was seen giving "Trishul Diksha" many times in camera and still no government has ever questioned him. he is free to peach his hate idealogy irrespective of party in power in any state or center. We have seen the extensive and effective use of non lethal weapon like sword and " tamancha/katta" against unarmed innocent muslims to uproot ,terrorize and massacre them by local Hindu goons, RSS, VHP and Bajrang Dal etc. After Gujrat massacres of 2002, even dishonoring the muslim women has become a trend and acceptable form of violence to teach muslims lesson. We can not bear it any more and must plan to protect ourselves by our own resources and efforts, without depending on Govt, which has failed us in last 66 years.
You must have also seen how the young people in crowd were openly displaying and swinging swords during and after Maha Panchayat on 7th Sept at Nangla Mandour ( Muzaffar Nagar). We must take clue from it and start arming ourselves by sword for each muslim adult in each homes. It is cheap and effective and available at village level everywhere.
If the muslims of 500 odd burnt down houses of Lisaad village had swords in each home, Jaats would have never dared to come near to them, let alone attacking and burning them alive. It is non lethal weapon and can be easily purchased, procured or manufactured in villages as almost all "lohars" in western UP are muslims and are highly skilled ironman and blacksmiths.Ancient muslim Martial art of UP , " Binnaut" must be retaught and propagated with full energy and vigor and religious enthusiasm.
Owning the swords posses no challenge to state authority, it is for only for defensive action, requires no license, very low level technology, low cost, primitive but effective weapon to protect life, dignity and honor. No chance of inviting any state action, will be tolerated by state.
If muslims, even if 5-15% of total, are armed with swords in villages, they will be safe and will have immense self confidence and dignity when walking in streets.Keeping and wearing sword is also "Sunnat-E- Nabi" and must be religiously accepted and propagated with commitment and dedication.
Minority Sikhs employed sword strategy in Punjab between 1699-1947 AD effectively against majority muslims, and were successfully able to defend themselves, though they were less than 8% in Punjab till 1881 when the census were first conducted in India.
We must follow the sunnat-e-nabi and also take lesson from others who faced similar challenges as the muslims of India today. If adults among the 50,000 muslim refugees living in makeshift tents in Muzaffarnagar, Meerut, Baghpat, Ghaziabad districts are armed by swords, they will march towards their villages fearlessly, instead of living as destitute at the mercy of others.Even Government must support muslims and arm them with swords. Government can not provide security round the clock in villages. Muslims have to take care of their security themselves. J&K Government in past had provided lethal weapons to Hindu civilians at the height of militancy by forming and arming Village defense committee, and similar tactics were adopted by Punjab government during 1982-1992, when Sikh militants were menacing the villagers with high caliber destructive modern weapons. Why can't UP government arm the affected muslim villagers with simple and non lethal defensive weapon like swords? This way they will resettle soon and effectively and permanently.
In the absence of any proactive action either by society or Government or by both , second Muzafernager type tragedy will repeat again sooner or later in some other part of country, most probabily in UP.Some how, one has to restore the fear or fear of counter action capability of state or muslims or both, otherwise 2-3 riots a day will keep occurring as normal and regular without any effective legislative/state action to control them.RegardsTariq FarooquiRiyadh, KSA
